Alyce Bochette — (concept & choreographer)

a native Floridian, began her childhood studies under her mother Jeanne Bochette and continued as a student with many noteable Master Teachers at home and abroad. as well as receiving scholarship training with the Joffrey American Ballet Center, Ron Forella Jazz and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a B.F.A. Dance Major. Alyce has performed, toured and taught nationally and internationally with major modern companies: Rachel Lampert, May O’Donnell, Doug Varone, and Mark Morris, and has appeared on Bravo, CBS Cable and A&E. Alyce served as Modern faculty with USF, CLCA Dance Departments, Florida Dance Masters, as well as traveling extensively for choreographic and master class engagements. She teaches Core Dynamics Pilates, is accomplished in Cecchetti Ballet Certification and an Angel of the Arts Nominee. Her SRO premier of “Salvage,” a collaboration of modern dance, poetry, film, fabric and light at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, made 2010 a pinnacle year. Also notable in 2007, Art Royal performance of “Tangled,” a tango collaboration, 2011 projects were “What If...” with Bochette Dancers and Sarasota-based Moving Ethos, and Sam Shepherd’s “Savage/Love” directed by StuartBrown and performed with FSW Theater Students. Alyce is currently Director for Dance Bochette.



Kelley Natella Matharu — (concept, choreographer & performer)



a native of Florida started dancing at the age of 3 and continued through receiving her BA in dance from the New World School of the Arts in Miami . After Graduating, she moved to New York City where she danced with numerous modern and contemporary dance companies and was involved in many projects over the years. While living in Australia, she dove deeply into studying and teaching both Pilates and fitness. Returning to Florida, she again became part of the Florida dance scene, dancing in local dance companies and dance projects. Kelley has been a member of Dance Bochette since 2005. Kelley is inspired by her 4 year old daughter, Raya, and intrigued by human movement at all levels looking forward to exploring it further.




Eddy Borges (choreographer)

was born in Cuba and danced with Ballet the Camaguey, choreographed for the Company and Ballet School of Camaguey, was Principal Dancer of Ballet Centro de Artes of Guayaquil and Primer Bailarin of Ballet Nacional of Ecuador. He also danced with Compania Nacional de Dance of Ecuador, formerly Contemporary Dance, before coming to the United States to join the San Antonio Ballet. He has trained and coached at Proffesional Ballet School Vicentina de la Torre Camaguey, Escuela Metropolitana de Danza Ecuador and Quenedit Ballet School in San Antonio. Eddy is a popular instructor and has been a part of Dance Bochette since 2021.

Diana Alvizuris — (performer)

was born into a family filled with music and appreciation of the arts. Her father, a Guatemalean classical and jazz pianist, her mother, a Cuban classical pianist, created a home full of song! Diana and her five siblings grew up dancing and performing regularly in their family livingroom. At the age of 12, Diana began her formal dance training with Jeanne Bochette. She continued throughout high school to study diligently, improving daily at Dance Bochette and graduating High School from Cypress Lake Center for the Arts in Dance. Her desire to expanded her knowledge and dance diversity led her attend Florida International University in Dance for the next 2 years. Today, Diana is a Realtor, an Aunt, a lover of travel, and wherever life takes her, as long as there is music, you can find her dancing. Diana is honored to be a part of Future Perfect.


Stephanie Mas — (performer)

is an artist, educator, and mama to two beautiful boys, Sebastian and Eli. A Miami, Florida, Stephanie holds a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. Swiftly after graduation, she moved to New York City in 2009 where she began working as a freelance dancer/collaborator. She has had the pleasure and immense gratitude to work with artists Millicent Johnnie, Paloma McGregor, Megan Kendzior, Megan Bascom, Kristin Kapustik and BODYART Dance. She joined Urban Bush Women in 2013 collaborating originating works such as Walking With 'Trane and Hair and OtheStories. She toured nationally and internationally with the company becoming a lead facilitator with BOLD (Builders Organizers and Leaders through Dance). She has participated in and facilitated Summer Leadership Institutes through UBW and has restaged reporatory for multiple universities such as FSU, Bucknell, Sonoma State, and California State Universities. Her growth as an educator comes from practice and the integration of UBW’s core values. Since 2020, she has been a member of our SWFL dance community. She isHead of Dance at Cypress Lake Middle School and continues to work as a freelance dance, choreographer, and facilitator. This is Stephanie's first project with Dance Bochette.


Sarah Thornburg — (performer)

is a graduate of Cypress Lake High School Center for the Arts as a dance major, class of 2001. She went on to attend Florida State University earning her BFA in Dance and a BS with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. She has been part of the Lee County School District since 2006 teaching all grades and a variety of disciplines county-wide before becoming senior faculty at Cypress Lake High School Center for the Arts, returning to where her love of dance became pinnacle. Sarah is excited to have been given the opportunity with Dance Bochette to work with such amazing individuals and perform in the inaugural Fort Myers Fringe Festival 2023.



Samantha Vos — (performer)

Samantha Vos grew up dancing with Miss Kelly’s Dance Center. As a featured choreographer for their performing group, Sam attended Cypress Lake Center for the Arts graduating High School in Dance. She has been a Faculty member with Dance Bochette since 2021 sharing her expertise in Tap, love of dance in Lyrical and her sense of spunk in HipHop. She currently attends FSW while working a full-time job. Sam is excited to share the story created in "Future Perfect" and is very thankful to be performing and sharing the stage with colleagues of such outstanding caliber.



Madeline Wellman — (performer)

has been dancing since she was five years old. She joined Dance Bochette in 2017 and has been dancing there ever since. Madeline has attended conventions and masterclasses studying with master teachers such as Jon Lehrer. Her solo performances have received the highest accolades in the Florida dance competition circut. This past spring she graduated receiving both high school diploma and her AA Degree from Florida SouthWestern State College. She will attend the prestigious Gus Giordano summer program in Chicago before laying plans to pursue her BA in dance composition. Madeline is thrilled to be able to take part in the Fringe Festival, as she dreams of being able to make the art of dance more accessible to diverse communities during her career.

Dance Bochette and Gulfcoast Dance

Dance Bochette, also known as Studio Bochette, opened its doors to dance students in 1951 and has continued to today, 2023. Through longevity it has become a pillar in the arts community of Fort Myers, Florida. Founded by Jeanne Bochette, countless families have grown up dancing under ideas she began, standards she set and dreams she ignited that came true through dance education. In our Studio Home, each student receives encouragement to pursue the highest level of achievement possible for them.


Gulfcoast Dance, Inc., incorporated by the State of Florida in 1976, mission is to serve the Community of SWFL through the Art of Dance, offering workshops, masterclasses and performance opportunities to its citizens.
